
SHAPES MUSIC VIDEO TASK:
Produce an animated music video with shapes created in Photoshop.
1. Use the default shapes or download new shapes from http://myphotoshopbrushes.com/custom_shapes
2. Open Photoshop and save project as “shapes MASTER”
3. Select the Background layer in the layer palette.
Choose a colour for the background and fill it with the Paint Bucket Tool.
4. New Layer – click on the “New Layer” button at the base of the layer palette. Notice the layer is transparent – all the shapes have to be on a transparent layer.
5. Select the Shape Tool and create a new shape. Click on the colour in the layer palette to change it.
6. Create more shapes on new layers.
7. Isolate individual layer to export. Click on the layer palette’s “eyes” to switch off the other layers.
8. Main Menu > File > Save For Web & Devices. Preset > PNG-24 > click the “Transparency” box.
Click Save.
Create folder > “Shapes” > Name shape > Save
9. Save all shapes.
10. In Final Cut, import “Shapes” folder and edit the Photoshop shapes to the music track.
