Go to this playlist on youtube. Each pair will be allocated particular sets of videos to look at. Please ONLY look at those you are allocated as you will be required to report back on them.
Watch the videos you are allocated and choose examples which you would shortlist for any or all of the following categories:
Best band performance
Best male vocal
Best female vocal
Best use of location
Best camerawork
Best editing
Most innovative concept
Embed the ones you wish to nominate on your blog and write some brief notes on what impressed you about them. You don't have to find one for every category and you can nominate a video more than once.
Also choose one for the 'Wooden Spoon award' which you think is particularly poor and from which lessons could be learnt about what NOT to do.
In the second session, we will look at extracts from the videos you have shortlisted together and decide our 'winners'. At this stage you will be asked to explain your choices.
